PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show sufficiently a flashing effect, while suppressing paper loss or deterioration of printing quality, by performing flashing with an ejection waveform for flashing.SOLUTION: Upon image formatio by a print head 19, an ink drop ejection waveform 25 for image formation is selected, and upon flashing by the print head 19, an ink drop ejection waveform 27 for flashing is selected. Since flashing is performed by the ink drop ejection waveform 27 for flashing which is different from the ink drop ejection waveform 25 for image formation, flashing can be performed efficiently. Consequently, a flashing effect can be shown sufficiently, while suppressing paper loss or deterioration of printing quality. |
