METHOD FOR DECOMPOSING CELLULOSE-BASED MIXED FIBER/FABRIC, AND RESULTANT DECOMPOSED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposing PET/cotton-mixed fabric by microwave treatment.

SOLUTION: The method for decomposing cellulose-based mixed fiber/fabric comprises carrying out the decomposition of the cellulose-based mixed fiber/fabric by adding an alkali solution by the microwave treatment. The decomposition is carried out in the coexistence of a high-boiling point material having a high dielectric constant. The high-boiling point material having the high dielectric constant is a glycolic material. The glycol-based material is ethylene glycol; and the alkali solution is a 5-40 wt.% sodium hydroxide aqueous solution. The microwave treatment uses a heating device by a microwave in a high-temperature high-pressure condition. A decomposed product which is formed by one of the methods for decomposing the above cellulose-based mixed fiber/fabric is also provided.
