The invention concerns a method for optimally controlling the tuning of a User Equipment (UE) to beacon channels transporting beacon messages in an area comprising a plurality of geographical meshes.
said method comprising the steps of:
- broadcasting, in a first beacon message, reference information describing all the RAT's deployed in said area
- broadcasting, in a second beacon message, specific information to be combined with said reference information for describing RAT's deployed in a specific mesh of said area and frequencies used in said specific mesh.
Said method further comprises the step of including in each first beacon message the geographical position of said area, the time-stamps of transmission, respectively, of the next first and second beacon message broadcasted in said area. |
