PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a cost of replacing a transmission type liquid crystal display device in a merchandise storage device having the transmission type liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A merchandise storage device comprises: a casing which is installed in such a manner that merchandise is displayed and stored so as to be visible from the front side or which allows samples of merchandise that is stored to be visible from the front side; and a transmission type liquid crystal display device 9 arranged on the front face of the casing. The transmission type liquid crystal display device 9 includes: a liquid crystal panel assembly 13 comprising a transparent outer protective plate 13a, a transparent inner protective plate 13b which is arranged more toward the casing side than the outer protective plate 13a, and a transmission type liquid crystal panel 13c which is arranged between the outer protective plate 13a and the inner protective plate 13b; and a transparent light guide plate 14 which is arranged more toward the casing side than the liquid crystal panel assembly 13 in a detachable manner and functions as a backlight of the transmission type liquid crystal panel 13c.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
