<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image output system which can output patient information on a medical image by a format, language, and position, which are uniform, when outputting by all output units. <P>SOLUTION: The medical image is received to undergo character recognition, so that the patient information is extracted for the acquisition of format data corresponding to the extracted patient information.
