PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection destination selecting method of a wireless LAN with which a desired connection device can be selected, for communication, from among a plurality of connection devices existent within the communication range of a device to be connected. SOLUTION: When an electronic camera 10 and a communication terminal 40 enter a communication range each other, the devices recognize it each other. The electronic camera 10 then sounds a buzzer at fixed intervals for the communication terminal 40 (S308) and when the buzzer sound is received (S330), the communication terminal 40 transmits to the electronic camera 10 information indicating the reception of the buzzer sound (S332). The electronic camera 10 further transmits to the communication terminal 40 a "buzzer reply" indicating the reception of "buzzer acknowledgement" (S312).
