<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, sufficiently and visually allow a driver to recognize a traffic sign painted on a road, and to assist driving of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The drive assistant device for the vehicle having an irradiation means for irradiating a front side of one's own vehicle with visual light beam has: an obtaining means (S1) for obtaining information at a periphery of one's own vehicle; a determination means (S2) for determining whether or not the road traffic sign should be drawn on a road surface at a front side of one's own vehicle based on the information at a periphery of one's own vehicle obtained by the obtaining means; a specifying means (S3) for specifying the kind of the road traffic sign to be drawn and a position on the road surface when it is determined that the traffic sign should be drawn by the determination means; and a control means (S4) for controlling the irradiation means so as to draw the road traffic sign of the kind specified by the specifying means at a position on the specified road surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
