Lead & rubber reclamation apparatus & process

An apparatus and process for reclamation of indoor and outdoor gun ranges, wherein a mixture of rubber chunks, lead pieces, and trash from the range are fed into a first cyclonic separator for the removal of the lead. The rubber and trash are segregated and moved from the first cyclone to a second cyclonic separator, for separation of the rubber from the trash, while the trash is passed to a filter system. In the filter system, the trash is removed and drops out through a rotary valve at the bottom of the filter, leaving the air to be removed out the top of the filter system to be moved by suction through a Roots type blower to become pressurized air to distribute the rubber particles coming from the second cyclonic separator , back to the range or into collection in bags.

1. A process for the reclamation of gun ranges wherein a mixture of trash, lead pieces and particles of rubber are to be found, which process comprises:
(A) sucking a mixture of air, trash, lead pieces, and particles of rubber into a first particle separator and removing the lead from the mixture, wherein the trash and rubber will go to (B) a second particle separator; for separating the rubber from the trash, wherein the trash will exit out the second separator to be fed into the input of an air filter system; (C) segregating the trash and removing the segregated trash from the air filter; (D) cleansing the air through filter passage, (E) moving the air through a blower to provide pressurized air, and (F) blowing the pressurized air onto the segregated rubber particles for distribution onto the range grounds or into a collection container.
