PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display that can improve efficiency of use of light.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display 10 comprises: a light source part 12 that emits blue light; a first substrate 31 that is arranged opposite to the light source 12; a second substrate 32 that is arranged opposite to the first substrate 31; a liquid crystal layer 33 that is held between the first and second substrates 31 and 32; and a wavelength conversion part 40 that is provided on the second substrate 32, controls the wavelength of the blue light transmitted through the liquid crystal layer 33, and includes quantum dots.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
