PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which calculates a consumption amount of a developer in consideration of the two-dimensional arrangement of dots.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus comprises: a half-tone generation unit which generates half-tone image data obtained by reproducing gradation of an input image with a plurality of dots; an exposure unit which forms an electrostatic latent image on the surface of an image carrier on the basis of the image data generated by the half-tone generation unit; a development unit which develops the electrostatic latent image on the image carrier formed by the exposure unit with a developer; and a transfer unit which transfers the image developed by the development unit onto the sheet. The image formation apparatus also comprises: a collation unit which collates the arrangement of each dot constituting the image data with a plurality of reference patterns respectively having the predetermined two-dimensional dot arrangement; and a calculation unit which calculates the consumption amount of the developer at the time when the electrostatic latent image based on the image data is developed by the development unit on the basis of the collation result of the collation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
