<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly and smoothly draw out a seat belt even after forecasting of collision. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicular seat belt control device has the seat belt 3 for restraining an occupant sitting on a seat 2; a drum 22 wound with the seat belt; a motor 41 for rotating the drum; a collision forecasting means for forecasting collision of one's own vehicle; and clutch mechanisms 44, 45 for rolling-up the seat belt on the drum by a predetermined amount when collision of one's own vehicle is forecasted by the collision forecasting means and connecting the drum and the motor in order to maintain the rolling-up state. The control device is provided with a getting in/out will confirmation means for recognizing will of getting in or will of getting out of the occupant; and a clutch release means 13 for operating the clutch mechanisms so as to release connection of the rolling-up drum and the motor when the getting in/out will confirmation means confirms the will of getting in or the will of getting out of the occupant after the collision forecasting means forecasts the collision of one's own vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
