The method involves storing a map file (32) at a representation of a portion of an earth surface viewed from top in a memory device (30) of a computer system (12). Local information represented for a certain place on the earth's surface is received, where the local information in a digital form is transmitted over a telecommunication connection unit (24) to the computer system. The artworks are computed by the computer system for a cutout of the representation containing the map file whose condition is determined based on the local information. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing an individualized article.
