On a side close to the light emitting element 4 on a horizontal plane 5 of the light guide body 1, a deflection reflection surface 6 is provided, on a side far from the light emitting elements 4 on a horizontal plane 7, a deflection reflection surface 8 is provided, the part of light entered and transmitted in the light guide body 1 is reflected by the deflection reflection surface 8 and caused to transmit the horizontal plane 5 to illuminate the area to be read area A (beam of light 22). The part of light entered and transmitted in the light guide body 1 is reflected by the deflection reflection surface 6, reflected by the deflection reflection surface 8 and caused to transmit the horizontal plane 5 to illuminate the area to be read A (beam of light 21).
