PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unitarily compensate the nonuniformity of images depending on each of an image input device and an image output device. SOLUTION: Image data inputted from the image input device is analyzed by a data revision part, divided into resolution information, input color profile information, color nonuniformity information and scale-factor/precision information, the resolution information, the scale-factor/precision information and the image data are outputted to a resolution conversion part 22 and the input color profile information and the color nonuniformity information are outputted to a color conversion part 24. In addition, resolution information and nonuniformity information about scale-factor, precision corresponding to an image output device 14 to be outputted, which are stored in an output device information storage part 30 are outputted to the resolution conversion part 22 and output color profile information and color nonuniformity information are outputted to the color conversion part 24. Then, resolution conversion processing is performed by the resolution conversion part 22, nonuniformity of precision is compensated, color conversion processing is performed by the color conversion part 24, nonuniformity of colors is compensated and outputted to the image output device 14.
