PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel capable of properly identifying the application limit thereof while suppressing its introduction cost.SOLUTION: A grinding wheel (2) is detachably mounted on a wheel mount (12) of a grinding device (10) having a rotatably driven spindle (16) and the wheel mount connected to the top of the spindle. The wheel is provided with a wheel base (4) having a mounting face (4a) mounted on the wheel mount, and a grinding stone (6) which is disposed on the free end part (4b) of the wheel base and grinds a workpiece (20) by contacting a top to the workpiece. The grinding stone is composed of a first layer (6a) mounted on the wheel base and a second layer (6b) used for grinding the workpiece, and the first layer shows a color different from that of the second layer. The grinding stone is thus composed so that the application limit thereof can be identified by color change due to wear of the second layer and exposure of the first layer. |
