PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance support method for easily understanding each sound of a melody of a score and its corresponding position of a keyboard, as it is difficult for a beginner to understand relation of each sound of the melody of the score and an actual keyboard position, and difficulty in understanding affects continuation of learning. SOLUTION: In the keyboard instrument, each sound of the keyboard is displayed by a display symbol such as a note on five lines, a figure and a letter, on a display body placed on a floating state on a black key so as to cover part of a back side of a touching face of the keyboard, and each sound for constituting the melody of a performance song is displayed on the score etc. by the display symbol used in the display body. By this method and device, it becomes easy to understand each sound of the melody of the score and its corresponding position of the keyboard. A keyboard sound display body 2 with card shape members 3 and 4 is placed in the back side of the touching face of the keyboard, and music is performed according to display of a performance song melody display body 1. Based on an age and a skill level of performance technique etc. of an individual, necessary information is flexibly and comprehensively displayed according to a using time objective, and keyboard performance by the individual is supported.
