A waterproofing block (13) which covers an end portion of an insulator-covered electric cable (11) joined to a terminal fitting (12) comprises: a waterproofing portion (31) which covers a joint portion (14) between the terminal fitting (12) and the electric cable (11), and which is in close contact with an end portion outer peripheral surface (11c) of an outer sheath (11b) of the electric cable (11); and a tubular portion (32) which protrudes from the waterproofing portion (31) along the outer sheath (11b). The tubular portion (32) is formed from a plurality of low-rigidity portions (32a) having a cross-sectional area that is smaller than that of the waterproofing portion (31), and a plurality of high-rigidity portions (32b) which have a cross-sectional area that is larger than that of the low-rigidity portions, and which are in close contact with the outer sheath (11b), the low-rigidity portions and the high-rigidity portions being provided alternately, adjacent to one another in a connected manner. If bending of the electric cable (11) causes the radius of curvature of the tubular portion (32) to reach or fall below a certain radius of curvature, portions of the plurality of high-rigidity portions (32b) press against one another in the circumferential direction, and press against the waterproofing portion (31). |
