Provided is a protective tube insertion and removal device which prevents a protective tube from being disconnected and can start removal easily by remote control even when the protective tube is disconnected. A protective tube insertion and removal device 1 has a guide plate 2 that extends in the vertical direction. At the lower end of the guide plate 2, a guide rail 4 for guiding the protective tube is provided. Below the guide rail 4, a base part 12 is disposed so as to oscillate in a direction in which the protective tube is inserted. The base part 12 can reverse orientation forward and backward with respect to the insertion direction by a reverse shaft 14. On the base part 12, a swing arm 22 is supported so as to be pivotable about a pivot 22c at a position different from the center of the reversing. The swing arm 22 is prompted toward the guide rail 4 and a roller 26 is attached to a swing end 22a so as to be rotatable in one direction. The roller 26 can rotate in only the same direction as a rotation direction of the swing arm against the prompting. In the foremost position to which the base part 12 can advance, a part of the roller 26 can be moved forward of the guide rail 4. |
