PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize a plurality of authentication servers without losing information.SOLUTION: An authentication system includes: a user information synchronization unit which updates one of first user information associated with a user identifier and second user information associated with a user identifier in a second storage device of a second authentication apparatus, with the other user information, when a first storage device of a first authentication apparatus stores the user identifier received from the second authentication apparatus; and a card information synchronization unit which stores a first card identifier in association with the user identifier when the first storage device does not store the first card identifier included in the first card information received from the second authentication apparatus and stores second card information formed by associating the user identifier associated with the first card identifier, with a second card identifier.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
