PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front plate which can be easily and inexpensively manufactured and prevents reflection of external light or the like and gives high contrast and is capable of improving image quality, a transmission screen, a display device, and a manufacturing method of the front plate. SOLUTION: A recessed part formation layer 132 is provided on one face of a base material layer 131 with an ultraviolet curing resin, and a plane part 133 and a plurality of recessed parts 134 are provided. Each recessed part 134 has the width gradually reduced toward the deepest part of the recessed part from a surface of the plane part 133 and has a shape satisfying 28≤W/D≤76 wherein D is a depth from the plane part 133 and W is the longest width of the recessed part on the plane part 133. Recessed parts 134 are formed by supplying the ultraviolet curing resin to one face of the base material layer 131 and radiating ultraviolet rays to half cure the resin and pressing a forming roll 43 and then radiating ultraviolet rays again to cure the resin.
