摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide charged particles which is composed of two kinds of particles differing in particle size and hardly come off mutually, and to provide an electrophoresis display medium using the charged particles. SOLUTION: The charged particle 5 which is charged to the same polarity with a main particle 51 is attracted by an upper electrode 22 on an upper substrate when the upper electrode 22 has the opposite polarity from the charged particle 5 (main particle 51). As the distance between the upper electrode 22 and charged particle 5 decreases, a small particle 53 on the surface of the charge particle 5 and the upper electrode 22 interact with each other more strongly and the small particle 53 and upper electrode 22 repulse each other because of the same polarity, so that the charged particle 5 is to leave the upper electrode 22. When the charged particle leaves the upper electrode until the attraction of the upper electrode 22 for the main particle 51 becomes larger than the repulsive force between the small particle 53 and upper electrode 22, the charged particle 5 approaches the upper electrode 22 again by the attraction between the main particle 51 and upper electrode 22.
