<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of urging a driver to appropriately react during a disaster. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control system informs the driver that a speed restriction is placed 30 seconds later on receiving disaster information. Thereafter, the vehicle control system controls to blink a hazard lamp, and after 30 seconds, if the vehicle is not stopped, the system controls to restrict the speed until it receives disaster release information.
