PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous batch-type tunnel washing machine which is reduced in the number of modules constituting an apparatus and can achieve excellent rinsing.SOLUTION: In a method for washing fabric articles in a tunnel washing machine 11, the fabric articles are transferred from an input part 26 of the washing machine through a plurality of modules 14-25 to a discharge part 27 of the washing machine. A liquid for washing is counter flowed along a flow path in a direction approximately opposite to the transfer direction of the fabric articles. The modules 14-25 are used both for washing and for rinsing. In the modules, rinsing is performed by counter flowing. During the rinsing, a flow rate is maintained at a selected flow rate or flow pressure head. As a result, excellent rinsing is achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
