The present invention relates to: a catalyst system for producing maleic acid anhydride from alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid, which includes a palladium catalyst, triethylamine, and acetic acid and has a beta-location on which a leaving group is substituted; and a method for producing maleic acid anhydride using the same. According to the method for producing maleic acid anhydride, a simple ketone compound is used as a starting material; and maleic acid anhydride, as a final product, can be produced at a high yield. The catalyst system can produce a raw material for a pharmaceutical product, an herbicide, or a polymeric material, manufactured by using maleic acid anhydride, in a large amount. |
