PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lithium-titanium compound particles which, when constituting an electrode of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, exhibit a discharge capacity exceeding that of lithium titanate and are high in initial charge/discharge efficiency.SOLUTION: In a battery comprising a working electrode containing the lithium-titanium compound particles and a counter electrode made of metal lithium, the lithium-titanium compound particles are configured so that a ratio A/B of a lithium storage capacity A of the working electrode in a potential range of 1.6 V or more to 2.0 V or less to a lithium storage capacity B of the working electrode in a potential range of 1.2 V or more to lower than 1.6 V is 0.25-1.3 with reference to a potential of the metal lithium. |
