PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent ejection defect of recorded materials caused by the recorded materials riding over a protective member of a cutting member after passing the holding region of a transporting member. SOLUTION: The recorded material cutting and transporting apparatus includes: a transporting member 2 having a paired structure for holding and transporting recorded materials 1; a cutting member 3 which is provided near the transporting member 2 and which cuts the recorded materials 1 transported by the transporting member 2, on the side in the width direction orthogonal to the transporting direction; a protective member 4 which is situated in the lower side of the recorded material transporting path in the cutting member 3 and which protects the cutting member 3 in a manner at least covering its downstream portion from the cutting region in the recorded material transporting direction; and an extruding member 5 which comes into contact with the upstream end in the transporting direction of the recorded materials 1 passing the holding region of the transporting member 2 and which makes this upstream end extruded to a position riding over the protective member 4.
