PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable monitor for monitoring abnormalities in behavior or health conditions, such as abnormalities in physical conditions, of a person to be monitored. SOLUTION: A geriatric pendant detects a bad physical condition or an abnormal behavior of a person to be monitored using various sensors. The various sensors determine the difference between a person in normal condition and a person in abnormal condition through various processing such as for determining whether outputs by the various sensors are respectively in excess of a threshold preset for each sensor.
