<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser generator capable of improving recording quality, its control method, and an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: The laser generator is provided with a semiconductor laser diode for generating a laser, and a semiconductor laser diode driving part for supplying a driving pulse to the semiconductor laser diode and flashing and driving a semiconductor laser according to the driving pulse.
