Disclosed are a method and device for labeling a telephone number, said method comprising: a telephone number is obtained on the terminal side; before a dial instruction concerning said telephone number is received, the label information of said telephone number is obtained; said label information is displayed. The embodiments of the present invention prevent losses caused by dialing a dangerous telephone number, and thus save costs on calls.
