The present invention relates to a button type stringed instrument capable of being played by placing buttons corresponding to each chord to make a note corresponding to a chord by pressing a string of the stringed instrument. The button type stringed instrument includes a chord device (110) installed on a neck part (104) of a stringed instrument such as a guitar to press chords such as major chords, including C, D, E, F, or minor and seventh chords (7) by pressing buttons. A rail (120), of which shape is arch and of which both side parts are vertical, is formed on the neck part (104). The chord device (110) includes: a body part (111) comprising side panels (10,11) including a guide rail (13) to slide forward and backward along the rail (120), a division fixing panel (12) installed in a middle part of the side panels (10,11) to be divided into front and rear parts, a front guide panel (14) placed in a side part of the division fixing panel (12), fixed to the side panels (10,11), and including multiple chord holes (19), a rear guide panel (16) fixed to a right end part of the side panels (10,11) and including multiple chord holes (19), and a front fixing panel (18) fixed to a left end part of the side panels (10,11); and multiple pressing units (44) combined with an inner side part of the body part (111) and pressing the chords of the stringed instrument. |
