A system and method for the planning of functional testing of a manufactured product and for performing the planned functional tests for quality control and for troubleshooting, where the functional tests are based on information retrieved from tools for Computers Aided Design (41) and simulation (50), and on information collected by testing of approved instances of the manufactured product, and converting this information into references signals by using predefined algorithms (46, 54) provided by the system.
