PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device that achieves long-time operation driven by a battery.SOLUTION: A radio communication device comprises: a first communication unit that communicates with a connection destination; a second communication unit that consumes less power than the first communication unit that communicates with the connection destination; a battery monitoring unit that outputs the value of residual of a battery as a signal; and a control unit that operates the first communication unit if the value output by the battery monitoring unit is equal to or more than a prescribed value, and stops the operation of the first communication unit and operates the second communication unit if the value output by the battery monitoring unit is less than the prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
