<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treatment apparatus and method of medical waste capable of further surely applying dry-heat sterilization to waste with high possibility of corresponding to infectious waste such as medical waste. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment apparatus of medical waste disposes: a charging part charged with medical waste; a crushing part for crushing the medical waste charged in the charging part; a treatment part for storing the medical waste crushed in the crushing part as an object to be treated, and for applying dry-heat treatment, in order from the upper to lower parts.
