PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting substance necessary for practicing a method capable of specifically detecting organotin compounds. SOLUTION: Regarding a retinoid X receptor (RXR) belonging to the intranuclear receptor superfamily, a region binding to a polar functional group is modified to prepare a RXR variant that specifically binds to the organotin compounds but not to endogenous ligands having polar functional groups or their analogs.
