A PTS specific to a nonIDR-AU is decided at step S170 by the use of an offset value Local_PTS and a PES_PTS of a corresponding IDR-AU. If an IDR_pts of the IDR-AU has failed to be acquired, a Dec_PTS decided at step S170 is incorrect. Thus, the reference value IDR_pts of the IDR-AU corresponding to the nonIDR-AU is calculated at steps S50 to S100. By re-calculating correctly the IDR_pts of the IDR-AU as stated above, it is possible to re-decide correctly the Dec_PTS of the nonIDR-AU at step S170. |
