PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile body structure capable of generating a lateral shifting load of a car body to promote lateral shifting deformation from a collision object while preventing the collision of a side sill tip with a wheel at the time of collision.SOLUTION: An automobile body structure is characterized in that in a rear part 27 between the knuckle connection part 27N of a lower arm and immediately before a rear side support part, a deformation promotion part 71 which receives the collision load of a vehicle longitudinal rear side from a wheel to be deformed in a car width direction is provided, the front side shaft part 27F of the lower arm 27 has tensile rigidity set lower than that in the connection of the knuckle connection part 27N, the lower arm 27 has a shape of a size to oscillate around the vicinity of a rear shaft part 27R after separation, fracture, or peeling to displace the wheel to the side sill outside and, between the rim part of the wheel and a car body member approaching the wheel in the longitudinal rear side of the wheel, a longitudinal direction gap is formed to permit displacement of at least the rear end part of the car width direction outside of the rim part of the wheel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14 |
