<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accumulator and a shock absorber capable of preventing gas permeation from a gas chamber to a liquid chamber. <P>SOLUTION: This accumulator is provided a free piston 2 slidably inserted in a housing 1 and defining the liquid chamber R and the gas chamber G. The problem is solved by providing the free piston 2 with a metal bellows 4 reducing volume of one of the liquid chamber R and the gas chamber G and increasing volume of another by expansion, and a stopper 8 regulating expansion of the metal bellows 4 of a predetermined quantity or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
