<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel retainer facilitating draining water entering a hollow panel. <P>SOLUTION: The panel retainer 3 covers a longitudinal direction end portion of a hollow coupling panel made by coupling a plurality of hollow panels 2 having a pair of inside/outside main panel portions 21 and a hollow portion 200 inside thereof in a width direction. The panel retainer 3 is composed of a front plate portion 31 opposite to a front side surface of the hollow coupling panel, a back plate portion 32 opposite to a back side surface, and a bottom plate portion 33 connecting the front plate portion 31 and the back plate portion 32, and abutting on the longitudinal direction end surface of the hollow coupling panel. The cross-sectional shape of the whole panel retainer 3 has a generally U-shape. On the bottom plate portion 33, a groove portion 330 recessing a widthwise center portion in a thickness direction is formed over the length of the bottom plate portion 33 while leaving a pair of abutting flat surfaces 331 at both ends in the width direction.
