The illumination device has at least one light source (2) on a first support (1) and at least one lens element (4) on a second support (3), whereby the light source and lens element are aligned relative to each other. The first and/or second supports are provided with reduced cross-sections in the regions of the light source and the lens element so that a support section can be moved by deformation with a tool and adjusting device until the light source and lens element are aligned depending on adjustment data. An independent claim is also included for a process for an inventive device.
