The present embodiments relate to a method for transmitting, by a remote node, a channel-adaptive reverse channel to a host node and an apparatus therefor. The remote node measures the state of a forward channel in an interval where the remote node receives a signal which must be received from the host node, and determines whether to transmit a reverse channel. Accordingly, the transmission power of the remote node can be minimized by transmitting the reverse channel when a channel condition is good, and unnecessary power consumption in channel state measurement is prevented by performing the channel state measurement only in a specified interval, as a result of which the overall power consumption required for the remote node to transmit the reverse channel can be reduced. |
