PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which carries out a camera-shake recovery arithmetic operation and in which a user quickly confirms a layout and a shutter timing after imaging and also easily confirms an effect before and after the camera-shake covery, and also to provide an image data display method. SOLUTION: The processing circuit of an image processing 1 performs the image processing 1 such as YC separation processing for image data, a camera-shake restoration processing circuit carries out the camera-shake restoration arithmetic operation, and the processing circuit of an image processing 2 performs gamma conversion (image processing 2). While displaying image data (DT) before the camera-shake restoration first, the camera-shake recovery circuit performs a recovery arithmetic operation for each of divided image areas, image data (DTB) after the camera-shake recovery are sequentially switched by each of blocks whose camera-shake recovery is finished and the result is displayed. Since a camera-shake mark is blinked during the camera-shake recovery arithmetic operation, it is recognized that the image data during displaying are the image data (DT) before the camera-shake recovery.
