PURPOSE: An environment-friendly varnish composition is provided to suppress emission of carcinogenic materials by using dimethyl carbonate and modified alkyd acrylic resin, to improve drying rate of varnish, and to ensure excellent brine, alkali fastness, water resistance, adhesion, glossiness, and appearance. CONSTITUTION: An environment-friendly varnish composition includes the steps of: heating and stirring phthalic anhydride, glycerine, pentaerythritol and soya fatty acid in a reactor; preparing a modified alkyd resin by controlling viscosity through addition of toluene in a reactor; and mixing and stirring a modified alkyd acrylic resin 100.0 parts by weight including the modified alkyd resin and dimethyl carbonate 80-150 parts by weight. |
