A wear resistance improving agent for inorganic filler-containing rubber compositions, which can impart high wear resistance to a rubber composition containing an inorganic filler; a rubber composition which contains the wear resistance improving agent for the rubber compositions; a tire produced using the rubber composition; and a method for producing the wear resistance improving agent for the rubber compositions. [1] A wear resistance improving agent for inorganic filler-containing rubber compositions, which contains, as an active ingredient, lignin that has an aldehyde yield of 12% by mass or more when the lignin is subjected to an alkaline nitrobenzene oxidation; [2] a rubber composition comprising the wear resistance improving agent described in the above-mentioned item [1], a rubber and an inorganic filler; [3] a tire produced using the rubber composition described in the above-mentioned item [2]; [4] a method for producing a wear resistance improving agent for inorganic filler-containing rubber compositions, wherein the wear resistance improving agent contains, as an active ingredient, lignin that has an aldehyde yield of 12% by mass or more when the lignin is subjected to an alkaline nitrobenzene oxidation, and the method comprises steps (A-1) to (A-3); and [5] a method for producing a wear resistance improving agent for inorganic filler-containing rubber compositions, wherein the wear resistance improving agent contains, as an active ingredient, lignin that has an aldehyde yield of 12% by mass or more when the lignin is subjected to an alkaline nitrobenzene oxidation, and the method comprises steps (B-1) and (B-2). |
