PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub handrail device free from becoming hindrance even when a healthy person not requiring a handrail piece takes a bath. SOLUTION: A bathtub handrail device installed for a bathtub 1 having an open part 11 and a sidewall 13 orthogonal to an opening edge 12, is formed to have a handrail piece 21 and a handrail body 2 having both leg pieces 22 and 22 protruded from both ends of the handrail piece 21 and bent to have an approximately U-shape, and a support part 3 fixed to the sidewall 13 of the bathtub 1 for supporting each leg piece 22 so that the handrail piece 21 freely moves for appearance and disappearance from the corresponding position of the opening edge 12.
