PURPOSE:To obtain a favorable step response of a stepping motor with simple structure by a method wherein a detection pulse is outputted in the middle between the detent positions of the stepping motor by a position detector. CONSTITUTION:When a timing pulse is outputted from the position detector 14 rotating the motor, AND circuits 16 are made to OFF to stop feeding of currents to the motor. Therefore a rotor of the motor starts to decelerate. The pulse is outputted after the prescribed time, and the AND circuits 16 are made to ON to start feeding of currents again. The rotor being decelerated and reached the neighborhood of the next detent position is fixed to the detent position thereof by making currents to be fed to coils of the motor again. By regulating set time of a monostable multivibrator 19 as to make the speed to become to zero when the rotor reached the next detent position, the rotor can be stopped without generating vibration. |
