An overheating preventing device for a scroll compressor is provided to be easily coupled with a scroll compressor in a simple structure for passing refrigerant from a high pressure part to a lower pressure part in the case of overheating. An overheating preventing device for a scroll compressor including a fixing scroll(201) having high and low pressure parts(144a,144b) formed at each side, includes a communication part for connecting the high and low pressure parts with each other. A fluid container has a receiving space inside to receive fluid, wherein the fluid exchanges heat with the high pressure part. An opening/closing element reciprocates between blocking and opening positions. The communication part is blocked by the opening/closing element in normal operation mode but opened in case of overheating to move refrigerant to the low pressure part.
