FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used for cutting metal tools. Cutting plate has two mirror symmetric end surfaces and mid surface and side surface located there between. Main side surfaces are composed of large equilateral trapeziums with opening located there between. Cross-section made by mid plane at top view at cutting plate it is composed of parallelogram. Acute angles are composed of the planes extending through the main and auxiliary side surfaces intersecting in the area of maximum bases of large and small trapeziums. Said opening is inclined at acute angle to vertical perpendicular to said main surfaces towards larger bases of large and small equilateral trapeziums. Opening axis is located in cutting plate mid plane to extend the cutting plate gravity centre and to cross the places extending through the main side surfaces at the length from gravity centre projection onto these planes to gravity centre of large equilateral trapeziums of the main side surfaces. Opening axis inclination makes about 0 < ? ? ?. Cutting plate parameters are related with opening axis inclination by relationship defined by claimed equation.
