PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a smooth discharging of gas also at a lower stage calcination part at a continuous type calcination furnace in which a plurality of calcination parts are laminated in a vertical direction.SOLUTION: A continuous type calcination furnace 10 has a first calcination part 12 and a second calcination part 14 laminated in a vertical direction and arranged. A second discharged gas flow passage 60 for discharging gas kept in the second calcination part has flow inlets 62a, b in the second calcination part and opened into an upper space of a second transport device 32 and a discharged gas flow passage for guiding gas flowed through the flow inlets out of a furnace body 20. The discharged gas flow passage has a first flow passage crossing with a transporting direction of the second transporting device below the first calcination part and above the second transporting device and extending in a horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
