Conventional Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar devices, consideration was only given to the widening of the aperture plane, and a sharp beam was not obtained. The present invention is characterized by comprising: a receiving antenna (1); a plurality of transmitting antennas (2M, 2N, 2P) that are each disposed at different determined positions with respect to the receiving antenna (1), and that transmit mutually uncorrelated transmission signals in a space; and a signal processing device (30) that processes received signals obtained by the receiving antenna receiving reflected signals obtained by the transmitted signals being reflected in the space, further generates virtual receiving antennas which are receiving antennas that each virtually exist at different locations when the transmission antennas are virtually moved in parallel such that the plurality of transmission antennas overlap, and generates a virtual synthesized antenna having a synthetic reception aperture plane obtained by combining the reception aperture planes of the virtual receiving antennas, and is further characterized in that the number of virtual receiving antennas to be combined in a center section of the synthetic reception aperture plane is larger than in parts that are not in the center section. |
