The timepiece has a barrel (1) coupled to a regulator circuit with a switching unit (7) for electrically braking a generator, when a generator frequency is higher than a reference frequency. An accumulating unit (11) accumulates an electrical energy dissipated during generator braking periods. An actuating unit (13) actuates a power-reserve display unit (12a) to display power-reserve by the accumulated electrical energy.
